Policies & Logistics

⏱Duration: Approximately 2 hours out at sea. Please arrive 30 minutes before departure for check-in and your pre-trip safety briefing.
📍Launch Site: All tours depart from Gansbaai Harbour, launching into Area 6 of Walker Bay — widely regarded as the world's finest whale watching location.
🗓Season: 1 June – 30 November annually. Trips operate daily, weather permitting, excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
🐋Species: Southern Right Whales (peak Aug–Oct), Humpback Whales, Bryde's Whales (year-round resident). Dolphins, Cape Fur Seals, African Penguins and seabirds also commonly sighted.
🌊Inclusions: Life jacket fitting, guided wildlife briefing, complimentary coffee on arrival and return, and bottled water on board.
🔄No-Sightings Policy: In the rare event of no whale sightings, an alternate trip credit will be issued. We operate in the world's highest-density whale watching bay — sightings are near-guaranteed in season.
